Biomedical Research When I was young I discovered sports and exercise. As a kid I started playing soccer and basketball and I haven´t stopped ever since. Because of this commitment I was able to nurture my body and develop it into who I am today. Firstly, as an overweight child , sports helped me overcome this condition and allowed my body to become healthy and grow approprietly. Later on, through multiple friendships and bonds that were created during my time exercising, I started to shape my personality and acquired valuable life lessons that guide me to this day. |
These lessons took me to choose my career, focusing in combining my two passions: Exercise and Science. Thus I begin my degree in Biomedical Research in Mexico´s Autonomous National University (UNAM) , where I started working in several research centres.
During my time in these laboratories I started studying exercise from different perspectives such as: Exercise Physiology, Metabolism, Muscle Fatigue, among others.
Once I finished my degree, I decided to focus in applying this recently acquired knowledge through specialized exercise consultations. These are designed to evaluate the human body with antropometry as well as functional tests so in the end, we can suggest exercise protocols to enhance their performance and promote a healthy lifestyle. I also started a project named “Ejercicio Conciencia” to help divulge scientific facts about exercise and health in order to narrow the gap between the general public and the scientific community. All in all, I try to help people achieve a healthy lifestyle through science and exercise.
